For those of you reading this who have not given much thought to the bible prophesied return of Christ to the earth to rule during a dispensation called the millennium [Isaiah 2:4, 42:1, Rev. 20 1-3] I offer this refresher. This is a time when men and women in their natural Adam condition like us will be able to live under and honor God's law which is written upon their hearts because the dark prince of the earth who temps us will be absent by God's decree. But most importantly the Jew will recognize the Messiah Jesus and worship Him in Israel.
Christians, whom have all since inherited heaven positioned in Christ, will also be involved in His rule at that time. But since we [the Christian] have passed from the natural Adam and our earthly existence into a new creature heavenly status in union with Christ now and forever upon being born again we will participate in a Spiritual oneness with Christ in His millennial kingdom on the earth. We will not be like the natural earthly Adam men and women and the Jew who convert on earth at that time. "It does not appear what we shall be, but we know that when He shall appear, we will be like Him" Rom. 8:28; 1 John 3:2. However the people on the earth and the Jew will not be like Him. Nor are we in any way associated with them as to nature as we are new creatures in Christ forever.
Those Adam men remaining at His return who then convert in their original Adam condition are/will be, enabled [we can now be only by faith] to follow their Lord. However any connection with the law or earth for us who are born again, the heavenly Christian is passed, as Christ has justified us and has incorporated us in Himself. We are and always will be His bride in heaven. Now by faith only, later by a transfigured change. By Spirit a living new creature identified with Him only. We are now and always will be held "Hidden in Christ". At that time [the millennium] we will be in a new transfigured body just like that of His. Very different [Rom 8:29] than the earth's converts.
I know this is hard to imagine, even believe, many Christian churches do not even bother teaching about this very well established doctrine of God and His Son's time again upon the earth. But is it any harder to believe than that The Son of God came to the earth as a man and then suffered and died in our place so we might be accepted judicially by a perfect God? Effectively replacing us with His Son in The Fathers sight? No I think not! Most simply ignore the millennial teachings or they in vain try to prepare themselves for their activities and participation with Him during this time. But both, viewed these ways, are experiencing Christian life much to their loss. Just what are they missing?
It is important to know the difference between the assignment of our spirit's constitution, or presence in/with God; so that we might take the place which glorifies Him best, even now. If we associate to a earthly millennial or kingdom presence now as many saints do in the present; or we do not even consider Christ future millennial rein, we simply assign ourselves as Christians to the earth; remain Adam men in conscience. But He, at this time, is not here. We are in a Adam natural condition yes , but by faith with Him. This is key to acknowledge. He was rejected from the earth. He dwells in heaven now and all true saints are there with Him in spiritual union by faith, hidden in Him.There is a great misplacement of the Christian biblical reality if one does not seek heaven and Jesus Christ as his identification there by faiths apprehension.
He makes this known to us by the Holy Spirit and enables us to live in Him, by His Word and faith when we exercise our faith of that as true. No longer are we subject to the world. Thus the real and true Christian conscience, acknowledged as a heavenly [Him as our very life] presence comes in no other way! If we take the place of the earth, doing, working, trying to be for Him here as a moral position now we are simply discovering our own power, not resting in His. This is not faith! We are..."Partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world" 2 Pet. 1:4. If this is true it could only be known by faith for us in the here and now!
In order to grow in Christ we must have a sense of who He is at the right hand of God and ourselves as part and parcel of Him. We must see ourselves by faith as it encompasses us in Him. Us seen by the Father according to The Son at His right hand. "He has blessed us with all Spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus" Eph. 1:3. If we are spending all our time attempting to overcome this and that, preparing for His return as overcomers or simple holding a moral place as busy workers we have lost the point: that we have already arrived in a heavenly place by faith. Absorbed in life with the Holy One as Christians. He is our position and identification here now and forever. We hold a heavenly Spiritual status in Him, which by knowledge changes our soul here.
We will lose sight of this most glorious position if we occupy our mind in training ourselves to uphold a certain kingdom position upon the earth. Attempting to convert our Adam personalty to a godly position here or become what some call god-men. Or if we simply look up to Him as a object to behold; not contemplating His return nor our position in Him, which we may partake of now by faith. We are not assigned here and never will be! "He has imparted us to Himself in order to qualify us for Himself", To see Him by faith in this way, where He is and us in the same place with Him, not only attracts us but it forms us. We thereby become His mirror image, gain His character, by faith, living in His presence always.

THE TRUE RULE OF LIFE
The Christian cannot help being what he is in the flesh, but thanks be to God that because of faith he does not have to be what he may become in his actual Adam condition on the earth.
In the early days the Jew was given the Law; yet God's intention always for them was a inheritance by a promise, that is the earth. Then why the Law? The Jew gladly received the blessing of promise, however their deserving of it was not even considered. The Jew never knew his condition he just took the blessing of God's promise, never a question as to his qualifications.
Did they deserve God's unreserved love forever? No. Why? Because they were sinners just as we are! Then the Law was given to show them not only their sinful nature, but their transgression as Adam men. What is the difference?
The reason God gave the Law was to show mankind his true condition. Not to bring him a blessing or a rule of life to live by, as many Christians attempt. But to show us the horrible situation of our sinful Adam natural man. It [the law] was not for a guiding light to overcome sin. Our very condition as permanent sinful creatures prevents that. It is simply absurd to think that by a program or behavior, a rule, even one from God, we might thereby please God or somehow be justified.
Gal. 3:19 says; "the law was added because of transgression"[to choose to intentionally disobey] , not sin. God has no dealing with sin what so ever, he cannot even see it! His view is only of His Son! It was Adams choice to sin. Sin was in man before the law was given as much as after. Sin was so bad God destroyed the entire occupation of the earth, save eight. Corruption prevailed and still does. After the law was given Israel and all of mankind became not merely sinners but transgressors or rebels against God's authority, violators of the law, transgressors. Death was made clear as mans fate by their transgression of God's perfect Law. This was the entire reason for the Law.
The result was death, shown by mans constant inability in keeping the law; which still prevails! "Knowing this the law was not made for a righteous man [one in Christ] but for the lawless and disobedient, for ungodly[those outside of Christ] sinners" 1 Tim. 1:9. No man can be made righteous by the law however. The law brings only death; because no man can keep it. Or earn righteousness by works; which is law also. That is why in and of ourselves we have no capacity what so ever to measure up to God's free gift of a life in Jesus Christ.
The term the law is not only the ten commandments. It encompasses all of man religious efforts. Our propensity to remake or somehow qualify the Adam man, the church life included. We think we are OK by a certain life style; attendance of church or bible training etc.; nothing could be further from the truth. Our very nature and the presence of the law proves we deserve only one thing, death.
Many are driven to God because of fear and failure, then they begin what becomes often simply a routine, even a discipline. This is not a honest behavior however, it is really a self-serving attempt by the Adam man of sin. The law has the effect of punishing those who break it, but this threat is not what makes a man honest or godly in a human sense, much less the divine.
A new principal was made by God in a new dispensation [time period] to establish us in His sight. That of faith in our spiritual presence in His Son Jesus Christ. By this gift we become new men, possessors of a new life, Christ's Life, which is dependent and obedient upon/to God's love. By this new creation we may live in faith and only in faith; in the accomplishment of another and by faith we do the will God wishes.
We now may count ourselves alive to God in Jesus Christ our Lord and in no other way. Not falling victim to a dread of failure, or a duty to perform, nor a vision of remaking our Adam nature by training or converting our soul. And certainly not by a pride of accomplishment, or the colloquial man made image we all preform in our western modern mode of operation which we have adopted by copying the world. Then translating custom and tradition as a satisfaction in meeting God.
If one takes the route given by mans establishment of godly things he becomes a spiritual adulterer [Rom. 7: 1-4]. We are called to look at the Lord Jesus, and Him only. He being the source of our life [2 Cor. 3:18]. He has created every portion of our life as true children of God. He constitutes every particle of righteousness and life the believer possesses.
The natural man would allow law, traditions and duty by works for a false feeling of righteousness; a demand of the law. The complacent Christian or even the diligent worker for Christ knows nothing of the fruit of true righteousness which is only given by Jesus Christ unto the glory of God, [Phil. 1:11]. The law was the rule of death for the sinner; the Lord Jesus Christ is the rule of life for the saint.
This blog was inspired by the writing of Wm. Kelly. May God bless you in the remaking of the image you see in the mirror, by knowledge and faith; becoming Jesus Christ's life in full awareness, seen only by your faith, which is the true rule of life.
