WHO AM I NOW

      A wise man once said" spiritual growth, which comes after spiritual birth, is the essential process where the Holy Spirit changes our character". When you reject the first Adam and accept  the last Adam, you have become a Christian , not on the basis of what you fell or do not feel, but upon Him whom you have believed in and therefore received. "As many as received Him , to them He gave the power to become children of God, even to them who believe in His name".

      A quick word, of perhaps unnecessary, clarity here. In the last blog we showed Jesus as our Mediator before the Father in Heaven. I want to make it clear that by mediator we do not mean He filters our sins out or blocks them in His Fathers site by His ,sort of official, presence , so that we will appear good in our Adam flesh. No He Jesus Christ in His person in Heaven at the Fathers right hand in in fact, by His perfect sinless life on earth and His representative death on the cross has died for, and unto all that we are, lost sinners, and in His Resurrection contains in Himself as Himself, the object of that Mediation, He is life!!

      Since Adam brought death [spiritual] by your natural birth, so Jesus brings life by your spiritual birth. When you accepted Him you received what He did for you on the Cross , but you also received Him. It is by the Holy Spirit He enters and give a new life to your spirit and becomes your Christian life Col 3:4. When you have trusted Him in your new birth , God removes you from the fallen Adam family and spiritually recreates you in the new heavenly race that is found the Last Adam. " Therefore , if any man be IN Christ , he is a NEW creation 2 Cor 5:17. As you were one with Adam by nature, you now become one with The Lord Jesus Christ and enter a new nature. God has placed the very nature of His Son, the perfect man in you. By believing " we become partakers of the divine nature". You have union with Christ!. This is a scriptural fact , not a feeling.

      You are not making a commitment or deciding to follow Jesus. God has given you eternal life by giving you His Son, who is life eternal, John 14:6 He has replaced, in Gods sight, the first Adam and IDENTIFIED you in God sight, as and IN Himself . In Christ we now found in a new position, in heaven before God, by your faith in that fact, even if you do not fully understand all that it means you life is held eternally in Christ,and that can NEVER change!.

      What now you might say? Gods eternal purpose for you is to grow in understanding. To become like Him, remember we were made in His image Gen 1:26 and your new Identify, Jesus Christ, is' the express image of, His , Gods, person" Heb 1:3 Hence by means of the new birth you were re-created in the image of God. Quite a responsibility you may think, but remember it is not in our performance on this earth we justify that position but in faith of what He , Jesus Has done, and in the position He holds , as the New representative man in heaven and that we find only by the faith, given to us in the new birth. God now will be working out His eternal purpose for you slowly but surely, for the Bible tell us we will be" conformed to His image" Rom 8:28,29.
