WHY ADAM WHY ?

The question we must all ask , is why did this new creature Adam, given all the advantage of what seemed a perfect life, from the Biblical images we read, choose to go his own way? Of course we all know the story of the temptation in the garden, there is much rich imagery in the telling ,but the bottom line is if we believe the Bible is the word of God the Bibles presentation of  the beginning,to the fall, is a true story inspired by God to be told to mankind and the images used by the ancient writers in the Hebrew language were pictorial for a reason. So that the readers could get a picture in there mind of the true truth, of how man came to be lost. This is how they in their time could understand the word of God. We now read in English and by our modern thought process might have a hard time with the images , but not so much the story's intent , to inform us of how we came to need a savior. If you are a Bible literalest you might not like this paragraph perhaps. And I do not want to hash out that long battle. The truth is the exact story however seen , in images by a ancient people or read by us in 2013 tell the story of mans fall and is perfectly true as only God can make it!

Well I'm glad that over! Here is the reason in my mind at least, I wrote that. Adam turned away from God and a perfect life because he was Tempted by Satan. Remember Adam was given free will, he could choose...You all know the very rich images presented to show this truth. Now as to the Tempter 1st Th, 3:5 Mat, 4:3 as he is called in the Bible Satan also known as the god of this world, 2 Cor, 4:4. Ruler of the world Jon, 12:31 and last but not least, prince of the power of the air Eph, 2:2.

Adam allowed Satan to conquer him , and the human race by deceit, thus he became the arch-usurper the god of this world. He blinded the mind of the natural man and placed man at odds with God to prevent man from knowing God in direct fellowship and finding a Saviour.

This choice,  by man in representative form, by Adam, finds mankind in a difficult place and in dire need of redemption. It means we humans were born into this world possessed of a sinful nature, inherited from a fallen man. Which makes all men born spiritually dead. Separated from God forever. See Rom, 5:18

Folks I do not enjoy telling this true story, But regardless of your opinion on the Bible portrayal of the events leading to the downfall of man, we I hope can all agree it did take place and we now are in desperate need of a new Nature, The old man we ride around in all the time cannot inherent the Kingdom of Heaven. This should be well established. I know most of you are firm in the belief you are saved from this total loss and I trust you are. But I know as for myself, when I came to understand the New Nature we as Christians do now live in,[ although many are unaware of it] I began to see my life in Christ in a very much more meaningful way. Will get to the source of that new nature next time.
