We now will become better acquainted with a unique Man with two Natures[like us]. The difference He is a most unique Man fully God and fully man. But where is He now and what is He doing? The Bible declares He is, among other things , a Mediator 1 Tim.2:5"for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man[second Adam], Christ Jesus.
A mediator must be one who is accepted and trusted by both parties. Jesus was sent as the Son of God well pleased, by the Father Matt, 17:5 God asked you to receive His Son. By entering into that trust relationship; You have found your part of the mediation.
For Jesus to be Mediator between you and God, the Lord Jesus had to partake of both Gods nature and man nature; both parties involved. This is a truth only apprehended by faith.Clearly portrayed in The Word of God!
Jesus always was God in nature from all eternity. In His birth by Mary, He took on Himself the nature of man. Hence "The Son of God and Son of Man". Just think God humbled Himself so as to become a earthly Adam for the express purpose to die for the sin of Adams, lost place in turning away by his own will, to the world and ,the god of this world Satan , the evil system we live in full time in our flesh. In short He became obedient[something the first Adam ,and us, were not] unto death, Phil, 2:6-8 Always keep in mind the Bible says Flesh [Adam nature] cannot enter.
We all know the story and I know I am going over ground most Christians have learned, but just let me say again what we all should and I hope do understand. In Gods perfect world sin must be done away with , only death can completely do away with a thing! So Christ died for Gods perfect justice in the form of a man ,flesh human, just like us in our place by the reckoning of God. A Substitute for us. He became our Mediator and that in Gods eye's by a representative volitional human death. In short by this act all Adamic flesh [sin is in the flesh] died. God can now ONLY see us , as flesh, in His view of His Son, as us dead and buried! Co-death.
Thank God for this ! For by His action on the Cross we have all received a Mediator between us and God And I hope by this study we have all learned that in our active living human flesh nature the only claim we have on God is that we are condemned.And that there is nothing we can do with our Adam nature to alter that;this is our own volitional condition! No matter how you try or how good you attempt to be,in our Adam man where we live ,we are drawing from the wrong source.One that is totally unacceptable to God. We must call out to God, I can do nothing about my spiritual condition.It is only by your Sons Mediation will my position before you be found.
My friends I know, that as Christians these conditions have been meant by our faith in these facts And shown to be available to all the world by Faith in the Resurrection of The Son. We have entered into liberty and life That life will become more vital as we accept the adoption into all that Christ is before God. And our presences in Him, by faith is understanding that we to are also of a duel nature. As the Bible says "the flesh lusts [strives] against the Spirit and the spirit against the flesh" which along with many other examples shows this to be the case. The continued effort of this blog will be to show how by faith in this Bible teaching we can get out of our old bad self, and live in the NEW.
